Usher Files For Divorce From Estranged Wife Grace Miguel

Usher and his wife are headed for divorce.

The R&B singer formally filed docs in Georgia to dissolve his two-year marriage to Grace Miguel on Friday (December 28), according to Us Weekly. Per the report, court documents originally obtained by celebrity gossip site The Blast cited the 40-year-old artist separated from his wife on Christmas Eve 2017 after reaching a confidential settlement agreement.

The news comes just nine months after the estranged couple announced their split in early March via an exclusive joint statement to Us. "After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple," the message began. "We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward."

The "My Boo" artist and the 49-year-old manager met 10 years ago as cohorts in the music industry and later wed in secret in Cuba in September 2015 following their engagement in January. The entertainer had previously divorced his first wife Tameka Foster, with whom he shares two children, in 2009 after two years of marriage.

In recent news, it was believed the crooner had been romantically involved with Shaniece Hairston (the daughter of Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada) after the stars arrived together to Diddy's 49th birthday bash in November. However, those claims were debunked by Lozada's spokesperson.
