Safaree's Armed Robbery Suspects Captured And Arrested After Police Chase

The suspects involved in Safaree's armed robbery have been captured, as per a new report from TMZ, which was posted on Tuesday afternoon (April 3).

Authorities have informed the outlet that two men suspected of robbing of the hip-hop personality at gunpoint on Monday night were caught after cops chased them over the George Washington Bridge from New Jersey into New York. Police had the suspects on their radar following the alleged robbery in Fort Lee, NJ. And yet, things got so intense during the case that the suspects even crashed their car and attempted to flee the scene by foot. Once NYPD got involved, Jonathan Ricketts and Shawn Harewood were captured about 12 blocks apart.

Mere hours after the robbery, Safaree sat with Power 105.1's Angie Martinez for an emotional interview about the debacle, which reportedly occurred right outside of his own gated community residence. "A couple of hours ago, I just got robbed," the 36-year-old reality star/rapper told Martinez. "Two dudes with guns just ran up on me, me face down on the floor with a gun to my head. They just took everything." He had about $175,000 worth of jewelry on him.

This isn't the first time that Safaree has been the victim of violence. Just last year, he was reportedly "jumped" by members of Meek Mill's crew. "Meek, you are the biggest pu**y on this planet," he said at the time via social media. "You saw me, you ain't do sh*t, you had your ni**as jump me. One-on-one you can't f**k with me, so that's why you had to do that."
