60th Annual GRAMMY Awards - Red Carpet

ZAYN's trippy new music video is basically art mixed with some insane FOMO.

The former One Direction member unveiled a stunning visual for his latest single "Stand Still" on Sunday (April 14). However, in lieu of any appearances from the "Pillowtalk" singer-songwriter, the Inception-esque project instead delivers nothing but scenic aerial shots from beautiful, far-away places — an ode to National Geographic if there ever was one.

Despite the direction for the visualization, the song pairs incredibly well with the production's romantic, elemental lyrics. "Skies of blue and birds of yellow/ Flowers growing just to bloom," ZAYN sings in the opening verse, before transporting listeners to a state of bliss in the poetic chorus, where he coos: "If time stands still/ Move I will to you/ This world's filled/ Somehow I see you."

"Stand Still," written by Grammy Award-winning record producer Malay, is the latest in a string of audio offerings from ZAYN's long-awaited sophomore album, Icarus Falls, which dropped in December 2018.

While much seems to be desired with the video lacking any tangible demonstration of the love playing out in the tune, the Zquad is loving it. "Everything about this is incredible his voice, the shots of nature EVERYTHING," wrote one YouTube user. "The scenery compliments Zayn's voice so well, beautiful and natural."
