HOUSTON - A new study shows the media may shed the light on what billionaires like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett do, but most billionaires would rather stay out of the political limelight and remain behind the curtain influencing policy. Mark Jones, a political science professor with Rice University, says not only is there less media attention for conservative billionaires, but the attention they do receive tends to be slanted. "The media coverage of the activism of liberal billionaires often tends to be seen in a postive light, conservative activism by billionaires like the Koch brothers tends to be in a negative light."
Jones says billionaires will continue to influence politics through the use of super political action committees.
