Blink-182 Celebrates The 182nd Day Of The Year By Releasing A New Song

Before heading out on their summer tour, blink-182 hinted at releasing two new songs. They gave us "Generational Divide" last month, but hit the road without giving us another taste of what to expect off their forthcoming eighth studio album. Thankfully, it was for a good reason. The pop punk veterans decided to wait until the 182nd day of the year (July 1), to drop another new song. And it was worth the wait.

"Happy Days" is written in the same vein as 1999's "Adam's Song," following the mind of a downtrodden teenager. "I wanna feel happy days, happy days/ Happy days, happy days/ Walls of isolation inside of my pain/ And I don't know if I'm ready to change," Mark Hoppus confesses in the chorus. "I wanna feel happy days, happy days/ Happy days, happy days/ All of this frustration inside of my brain/ And I don't know if I'm ready to change."

Listen to "Happy Days" below.

"Happy Days" is the third offering from blink's upcoming album, following "Generational Divide" and lead single "Blame It On My Youth." The band is currently on tour with Lil Wayne, and though they're playing Enema of the State in its entirety every night, we're sure this new tune will be making its way into the setlist in no time. Check out their full list of tour dates here.
